Duchess Kate honored Princess Diana with her choice of accessories at the Remembrance Festival.

Duchess Kate (39) paid tribute to the late Princess Diana (1961-1997) at a gala on Remembrance Day, a day of remembrance for deceased members of the armed forces. On Saturday evening at the Remembrance Festival at the Royal Albert Hall in London, she wore jewelry from the mother of her husband Prince William (39). As reported by the British “The Sun”, the Duchess showed herself with Collingwood pearl earrings and pearl bracelet. She also combined a black midi tweed robe with white buttons and three-quarter-length sleeves by Eponine. Her hair fell open over her shoulders.

Queen had to cancel

On Sunday, Kate took part in a memorial service with Prince William, Prince Charles (73) and Duchess Camilla (74), among others. She wore a black Alexander McQueen coat with a white collar and red decorations on the shoulders and combined a hat with her hair pulled back. Queen Elizabeth II (95) had actually planned to personally attend the service, but shortly before it had become known that the monarch had to cancel. Citing Buckingham Palace, the British “BBC” reported that Elizabeth II had to struggle with back problems. In the morning she decided “with great regret” not to take part. The queen was “disappointed”.
