Duchess Meghan is said to have deleted her first name from her son Archie's birth certificate. The reasons are now being hotly debated.

Did Duchess Meghan (39, "Suits") have her first name removed from the birth certificate of her son Archie (1)? At least that's what the British "The Sun" claims, which published an alleged copy of the original document. "Rachel Meghan" is said to have been deleted from the documents. What was left was her title: "Your Royal Highness the Duchess of Sussex".

Such a change is said to have never happened in the British royal family. According to the tabloid, it could be interpreted as an homage to Prince Harry's (36) deceased mother, Princess Diana (1961-1997). During her lifetime she had used the address "Her Royal Highness the Princess of Wales". Others see it as a swipe at the British royal family. Because Duchess Kates (39) first name was apparently added to the birth certificates of her three children Prince George (7), Princess Charlotte (5) and Prince Louis (2).

"Maybe that was an early part of their plan," Dickie Arbiter, a former press secretary of Queen Elizabeth II (94), is quoted by "The Sun". "Perhaps another sign that they desperately want to differ from the royal family," said Ingrid Seward from "Majesty" magazine the paper. Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have not yet commented on this.

Archie's birth certificate changed in June 2019?

Archie was born on May 6, 2019, and the birth was recorded on May 17, according to The Sun. The change is said to have been made on June 5th. At this time, there was already speculation about cracks in the relationship between Prince Harry and his brother Prince William (38). In June 2019, Meghan and Harry resigned from the joint charity "The Royal Foundation".
