Dwayne Johnson speaks openly about his colleague Vin Diesel’s attempt to persuade him to return to Fast & Furious.

The arguments between fellow actors Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (49) and Vin Diesel (54) do not want to end. After a Instagram post, in which Diesel asks his “little brother” to return to the “Fast & Furious 10”, Johnson is now striking back.

In an interview that was posted on Wednesday (December 29th) was published by “CNN”, “The Rock” lets his feelings run free. “I was very surprised by Vins new post. Last June, when Vin and I met and weren’t in touch on social media, I told him directly – and privately – that I wasn’t going to be going back to the franchise,” explained Johnson. He had kindly but firmly told him that he would always support the cast and always stand up for the success of the franchise, but that there was no chance of returning.

Manipulative post on Instagram

“Vin’s last public post was an example of his manipulation,” Johnson continues. “I didn’t like that he dragged his kids into the mail, nor did Paul Walker’s death. Let them out.” The two had discussed it months ago and came to a clear agreement. Johnson’s goal all along has been to end his amazing journey with this incredible “Fast & Furious” franchise with gratitude and grace. He finds it regrettable that “the public dialogue has clouded the water”. Regardless, he sincerely wishes his former co-stars and crew members good luck and success in the next chapter.

The disagreement between the two actors allegedly first came to light during the shooting of the eighth “Fast & Furious” film, as “People” reported. One in the meantime deleted Instagram post from Johnson’s 2016 seems to confirm the dispute between coworkers. In it he wrote: “There is no other franchise that makes my blood boil more than this. My female co-stars are always great and I love them. My male co-stars, however, are a different story.”
