Edouard Philippe: his enigmatic message that destabilized the National Assembly: Femme Actuelle Le MAG

For several weeks, rumors of tensions between Emmanuel Macron and Edouard Philippe have been raised in the press. In its edition of Sunday June 14, the JDD highlighted the strained relations between the Head of State and his Prime Minister. "The president says it to everyone: he wants to overturn the table", confided one of his relatives. So would Edouard Philippe be about to leave? Rumor has it that Emmanuel Macron would seek to reshuffle the government, but he does not want to add controversy to the coronavirus crisis, which has already weakened the country.

During Edouard Philippe's speech to the National Assembly, certain deputies feared the worst. They feared the announcement of his departure. But the candidate for municipal elections in Le Havre, preferred to pay tribute to Francis Vercamer, UDI deputy who left the Assembly to devote himself to his town of Hem, in the North. The Prime Minister, however, made a heavy sentence. "I congratulate all those who make the choice to devote full time their future political life to these municipal functions which you find with pleasure and envy. I respect this choice … and I understand it", did he declare. "We expected him to say 'Besides, I'm leaving too'", explained a witness, still according to the JDD.

Edouard Philippe in danger?

Despite its strong popularity with the French and its management of the health crisis linked to the Covid-19 pandemic, Edouard Philippe could decide to leave Matignon. Some nevertheless remain faithful to him and do not wish to see him leave. "He has to stay. He has demonstrated total solidity and loyalty, he is appreciated by the parliamentary group and is popular with the French", explained a Macronist MP. Case to follow!
