Electrolux recalls Pure F9 series stick vacuums

Housekeeping may have to wait if your vacuum cleaner belongs to the Electrolux Pure F9 series, including variations. The manufacturer recently discovered an issue with “A component used in the product which in some cases can potentially cause overheating and result in a vacuum cleaner fire” with a risk of propagation if flammable materials are in the vicinity.

Owners of Pure F9 vacuum cleaners are therefore invited to check whether their model is concerned and, if applicable, to contact Electrolux services at 0801 908 015 to explore possible solutions. The replacement is mentioned. To recognize a product at risk, a list of references, product numbers (PNC) and serial numbers (S No) has been made available on the Electrolux support page.

Information relating to your device is available on a “nameplate” to be found behind the dust container. Don’t worry if you’ve thrown the box away, then. In the event of a match, the manufacturer also recommends that you immediately stop using the device, remove it from its charging station and unplug it. Electrolux is nevertheless reassuring: “No bodily injury or material damage has been reported to date”, can we also read.
