At the dawn of her 40th birthday, which she will celebrate on December 15, the pretty blonde is celebrating another very important birthday. Twenty years ago to the day, on December 9, 2000, the young woman from Picardy was crowned Miss France. On her Instagram account, Elodie Gossuin returned to this event which totally changed her life.
Miss France 2001, moved, turns to Geneviève de Fontenay
“Once upon a time, a very long time ago…”, writes the one who has since become a television host, in the caption of a video of her election. In the image as in his text, the emotion is palpable: "20 years now, half of my life. Thank you for changing it forever, thank you especially for still being here. Thanks is not enough. We have shared so much in 20 years, we still share so much of our lives. I really love you." Elodie Gossuin also made a point of sending a message to the women who marked this famous evening, in particular the former president of the Miss France committee and the previous holder of the scarf. “My Geneviève De Fontenay, you welcomed me on December 9, 2000 into your world and your family, but you are part of my family today”, she writes. The lady in the hat had also revealed, in the last special issue of ’Paris here, that her favorite Miss was none other than Elodie Gossuin. “She's the guardian of the temple and the girl I wish I had ", she told our colleagues, before revealing at the same time which one she hates the most …
In her nostalgic Instagram post, Miss France 2001 also mentioned her runners-up at the time, as well as her predecessor: "Tender kisses to all the golden girls of this dream promo, this adventure binds us forever. Sublime Sonia Rolland, 20 years later, I am honored to be with you next week, this time on the jury, to encourage and welcome a new princess. " On the other hand, his successor Sylvie Tellier also celebrated the anniversary of his coronation. The day before, the one who is now the patron saint of the Misses in turn shared particularly touching memories.
A year of reign marked by traumatic episodes
