2024 - Euro zone: drop of 0.8% in producer prices in December

(CercleFinance.com) – In December 2023 compared to November, industrial producer prices decreased by 0.8% in the euro zone and by 0.9% in the EU, after decreases of 0.3% in both sets in November.

In the euro zone in December, industrial producer prices fell by 2.3% for energy and fell by 0.3% for intermediate goods. Excluding energy, producer prices fell by 0.1%.

Eurostat, which publishes these figures, adds that in December 2023 compared to the same month of the previous year, industrial producer prices fell by 10.6% in the euro zone and by 10% in the EU.
