Europlasma: The multi-year contract goes from 4.5Meuros to more than 9Meuros over the period 2021-2026

Press release | Bordeaux, January 6, 2022

Solid Recovered Fuels:

The multi-year contract goes from 4.5M € to more than 9M € over the period 2021-2026

Europlasma, specialist in the treatment and recovery of hazardous waste, announces the signature of an amendment to the contract signed in March 2021 (Press release of 03/19/2021) by its subsidiary CHOPEX. The latter aimed at receiving economic activity waste (AED) and transforming it into Solid Recovered Fuels (CSR) at the Morcenx site.

In fact, as part of the reorientation of the CHO Morcenx site (Communiqué of 16/11/2021), in particular by means of the development of a CSR preparation activity, Europlasma had signed a first large-scale contract which concerned the treatment of tens of thousands of tonnes of waste over 5 years for a minimum turnover estimated at € 4.5 million.

The amendment to the initial contract almost doubles the annual production of CSR. Europlasma and its partner have also agreed to an increase in the price per tonne produced, particularly in view of the increase in the price of energy.

Finally, the two partners also agreed on the extension of the powers delegated to Europlasma, in particular as regards the logistics of third-party DAEs. As a result, the turnover generated by this contract should double to reach a minimum of € 9 million.

This mark of confidence confirms the success of the first CSR transformation campaign started in spring 2021. The Europlasma teams have gradually increased the daily processing capacity. Today, this makes it possible to draw the full potential of the facilities and the unique know-how resulting from several years of operation of the CHO Morcenx site.

Insofar as the maximum authorized capacity remains at 55,000 tonnes processed per year on the site and taking into account the discussions initiated with its industrial partners, CHOPEX has requested authorization from the competent authorities to increase its capacity to nearly 100,000 tonnes per year. with the competent authorities.

Jérôme Garnache-Creuillot, Chairman and CEO of Europlasma declares: “This is another success for Europlasma. Let us remember that at the time of the takeover the plant was shut down and that this new CSR preparation activity was launched just a year ago. We then announced in March 2020 the signing of our first contract and our ambition to double the volume of activity in the coming months. It is now done! Every day, we demonstrate our commitment to preserving the environment by offering today multiple solutions to reduce the ecological footprint of human activity. This already positions us de facto as a major player in the decontamination of complex waste. The story is only just beginning, however. “

The risk factors specific to Europlasma and its Group as well as to its activities are described in chapter 2 of the Annual Financial Report for the year ended December 31, 2020 available on the website www.europlasma.com in the section
