EXCLUDED VIDEO – Jean-Luc Reichmann angry after a court decision: “It’s injustice!”


Iconic presenter of the show The 12 strokes of noonscheduled every day at lunchtime on TF1, host Jean-Luc Reichmann was a guest on the show 1 hour with…, presented by Bernard Montiel and broadcast on RFM, every Saturday. In a sequence revealed exclusively, Bernard Montiel returned to a tragic affair: the assassination of Bastien Payet, beaten to death and died on March 10, 2019. The presenter of 1 hour with…recalled that the three alleged attackers of the former candidate of the 12 Midday shots were recently released from custody and their trial date has not been set. A court decision that Jean-Luc Reichmann totally disapproves of, who did not hide his anger on this subject. “It’s total injustice”he said on this subject.

He then paid a vibrant tribute to the deceased young man. “This boy was extraordinary, I mean extraordinary. He had marked me… This boy had really marked me, because he had the words of this youth of Raphaël Quenardwho is outspoken, this extraordinary actor… It’s really young people who were sending good signals”. Exasperated by this decision, he then explained: “I think of the mother who remains. I think of those around him, of this boy who remains. There you go, the guys are free, but this lady who goes to the supermarket may find herself with her son’s murderer waiting in line at the checkout. You realize it or not. Because they have not been judged. It’s non-judgmental. Anything that is unfair, I can’t stand.”

An unforgettable drama

It was during the night of March 8 to 9 that the tragedy which led to the death of Bastien Payet took place. The student, who was 23 years old in 2019, was in the city center of Reims, rue Jeanne d’Arc, accompanied by a few friends. Around 3 a.m., the group encountered three individuals who were visibly intoxicated, reported France 3. Bastien Payet defended the young women present, whom the individuals heckled, by throwing some serious jokes at them. He was targeted by the three men who beat him. Taken care of by emergency services and transported to hospital in serious condition, Bastien Payet died the day after his attack, on March 10, 2019.
