Thousands of users complained on Monday about a malfunction on Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp. That’s what the company says about it.
Thousands of users around the world complained about problems with Facebook’s social networks on Monday evening (October 4th). From around 5:30 p.m. WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook were no longer available. In the evening, messages and contributions could only be shared on Twitter. There the company apologized to its users: “We understand that some users are having problems accessing our apps and products. We are working to get things back to normal as soon as possible and we apologize for any inconvenience.”
WhatsApp also assured users via Twitterthat it is not up to them, “it is us”: “We will work on a solution as soon as possible.” Not only Germany is affected by the disruption, but apparently users all over the world. According to several media reports, there should also be internal communication disruptions on Facebook.
Twitter is amused
Meanwhile, Twitter was amused by the mega mishap. “Hello everyone, literally,” joked the short message service in a tweet. The exact cause of the problem is still unknown.
