Fake health pass: a nursing home director arrested in Seine-et-Marne

It was at the end of October 2021 that the gendarmes of La-Chapelle-La-Reine, in Seine-et-Marne, were notified of a suspicion of a fake health pass. The holder is then nothing less than the manager of an accommodation facility for dependent elderly people in the sector (Ehpad), which accommodates around a hundred people.

However, since September 15, nursing home staff, such as caregivers in hospitals, are subject to compulsory vaccination and otherwise, contracts are suspended.

After investigation by the gendarmes of the Chapelle-La Reine, aided by investigators from the Fontainebleau research brigade and under the direction of the Fontainebleau public prosecutor’s office, the facts are confirmed. They also implicate a member of the suspect’s entourage. According to AFP, it would be her husband. On December 21, the two people involved were then arrested at their home where the false health passes were found. According to their statements, the false documents were bought through an acquaintance.

At the end of her police custody, the person in charge of the nursing home was placed under judicial supervision and must therefore report to the gendarmerie every month. In addition, he was notified of a ban on exercising a medical or similar profession or any other profession in connection with a vaccination obligation.

He was also forbidden to come into contact with anyone from his former establishment. According to our sources, she and the member of her entourage involved are subject to a court summons scheduled for next May.
