Strong performance by figure skater Sophia Schaller at the NRW Trophy in Dortmund. The woman from Salzburg lands in fourth place with 149.32 points and collects important points for the world rankings.
Schaller showed a flawless short program with a triple toe loop / triple toe loop combination, whereby her second triple jump was devalued. Therefore, she started the freestyle from sixth place.
The 21-year-old managed to do this almost flawlessly, with the exception of a fall in the triple Lutz. With the third-best rating, Schaller improved to fourth place.
Next week the Salzburg figurehead will be on the ice again at the home competition in Graz, where an ISU Challenger event is taking place.
