Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 will be revealed this year according to Yoshinori Kitase

The event has probably not escaped the fans of the license or the most assiduous of the news, we are celebrating the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy VII. A little earlier today, we revealed Square Enix’s ambition to develop new projects around the remake of this seventh opus. And the remake, precisely, should be talked about again this year through its second part.

A nice gift for 25 years?

Anyway, it’s from the mouth of Yoshinori Kitase, game producer, that this statement comes to us: Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 will show up in 2022. Although, during the live stream in which he was interviewed, he simply explained that he hoped to be able to provide new information this year, the question was clearly asked about a revelation during the year of the second part. And Yoshinori Kitase seems quite confident:

Well, yeah. The 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy VII just debuted, so we want to celebrate it and please the fans, so over the next 12 months we want to share more information. Expect to hear more! »

It remains to be seen whether their word will be kept and whether they will be real revelations or timid excerpts, but it is reassuring that the continuation of Cloud’s adventures does not seem to remain cloudy for long. The first part of Final Fantasy VII Remake is available on PS4, as well as on PS5 and PC via the Epic Games Store in its version Intergrade.
