Fortnite: big changes after a major departure from Epic Games?

Since 2017, Fortnite has fascinated millions of playersespecially thanks to its mode Free-to-play Battle Royale. The title ofEpic Games recently welcomed the Season 4 of Chapter 4 with obviously a new Battle Pass and new content, but internally, there has just been a big change.

Donald Mustard comes fromannounce his departure fromEpic Games. If his name is not particularly known to the general public, however, it was chief creative officertherefore managing the entire creative part of Fortnite. A key role, Donald Mustard obviously participated a lot in the success of the title, he was even nicknamed the “Fortnite Lore Master”, just that. Prior to this position, Donald Mustard first worked on BloodRayne then founded Chair Entertainmenta studio bought in 2008 by Epic Gamesbefore becoming CCO in 2016.

Donald Mustard is visibly retiring from the video game world and says he wants to spend more time with his wife and family. Concerning the future of Fortnitewell it is clear that after he leaves, things should no longer be the samealthough after all these years, the machine is well established and the other thinking heads at Epic Games will continue the success of Battle Royale as long as possible.
