This weekend, Fortnite does not please those who get up early, since the big maintenance that serves to start the next season of the game started at 8am. A rather unusual schedule for Epic Games’ Battle Royale, which was only made public the night before, and without any trailer. This morning, the community was able to discover the theme of the next season: “Resistance”. The game, however, will only be available after the maintenance period.
Why are the servers not responding?
As stated by the official account Fortnite Status this Saturday evening, the game is in maintenance from 8am this Sunday, March 20. After this period of unavailability, which could last several hours, Fortnite will reopen its doors.
Note, however, that you must install the patch on your device before launching the game. This maneuver may take a little time, depending on the quality of your internet connection, and whether the maintenance period has ended or not.
Impossible connections even after maintenance?
Even though Fortnite’s servers are solid, they often don’t support the few hours following the implementation of new seasons. Why ? Quite simply because hundreds of thousands of players then simultaneously try to access the game as soon as it is available. The connection queues are congested, and the game crashes often. It often takes a little patience to launch at the start of the day!
