PARIS, June 16 (Reuters) – The Autorité de la concurrence announced on Thursday that it had approved online advertising commitments made by Meta, the parent company of Facebook FB.O, in response to competition concerns.
Meta’s commitments follow a complaint filed by Criteo CRTO.O three years ago.
“The Authority has accepted and made the proposed commitments binding and has thus closed the procedure initiated”, indicates the French regulator.
“This is the first time that a competition authority has accepted commitments from Meta in the context of antitrust proceedings,” adds the Competition Authority.
