One recipe – many variations

The basic recipe for French toast can be changed at will: Instead of powdered sugar, you can use maple syrup or honey, for example. Others sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon over their toast or garnish it with a topping of nuts and berries – Raspberries, strawberries or blueberries are suitable for this. If you like it even sweeter, put bananas on the bread slice and spread them with chocolate cream. French toast with ham and cheese becomes spicy. Another hearty variant is asparagus with French toast. And our chocolate French toast with vanilla ice cream turns breakfast into a dessert. As you can see, there are basically no limits to your imagination – whatever tastes is allowed!
