The game of miHoYo is no longer to be presented as the servers of Genshin Impact are always full and the title continues to attract newcomers. Moreover, since its official launch, the developers regularly release new updates. Version 2.4 is currently available and promises new content for the next few weeks, here are the details.
Details of Upcoming Update 2.4 Events and Additions
Banners and characters
From this Tuesday, January 25, players will be able to find two new double banner characters with 5 stars. These are, more specifically, Zhongli, the Geo Shield, and Ganyu, the Cryo Archer. But that’s not all. Indeed, three 4 star characters, being Wingqiu, Beidou and Yanfei, will accompany them.
Two events planned
The second part of Genshin Impact version 2.4 also features two new events. One will invite players to take part in the Lantern Festival, while the other will allow them to visit Mondstadt and Liyue.
The Lantern Festival will be available from January 25 until February 12. During the event, it will be possible to participate in the recovery of objects from Jade’s first room, to play with shadow lanterns or to prepare for the festivities of the said festival. Players can then obtain talismans in order to unlock the new Ningguang skin, named “Orchid Evening Dress”, or Liyue’s character of 4 stars.
The second event will start on February 4 and end on the 14th of the same month. This will encourage players to take as many photos as possible in order to discover the world of Kichiboushi andt thereby earn an exclusive decoration, in addition to other rewards. Note, however, that it is imperative to have some playing time to your credit: you must, indeed, be at least adventure level 30, have completed the quest “Ritou’s Escape Plan” and that answering to the name of “Tanuki in the forest”.
Login bonuses
As always, miHoYo rewards the most loyal players who log in regularly by offering two login events. By logging in for 7 days, from January 25 to February 9, they will thus receive 10 stones of fatality, deaths, ores and lessons of the hero. Then, from February 9 until the end of version 2.4, players will receive Fate Stones, Brittle Resins, and other rewards, by logging into the game for 5 days.
At present, we do not yet know the exact date of the end of version 2.4 nor that of the launch for version 2.5 of the software. As a reminder, Genshin Impact is available free-to-play on PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch and smartphones (iOS and Android).
