Graz-Eggenberg – Police are looking for witnesses after a traffic accident


The statements of three drivers after a collision on Tuesday morning are contradictory.

The traffic accident occurred around 7.45 a.m. south of the Georgigasse – Schlossstrasse intersection. According to his own statements, a 37-year-old from Graz drove his car into Georgigasse into town. After the intersection with Schlossstrasse, he noticed a 57-year-old driver from Graz who was driving behind him at high speed. This overtook him and there would have been a collision. As a result, the 37-year-old’s car crashed into a properly parked car.

The 57-year-old, on the other hand, stated that after the intersection a car was steered from a parking space on the right-hand side of the lane onto Georgigasse. As a result, there would have been a collision and the 57-year-old’s car was thrown away.

Both drivers were slightly injured. Property damage of currently unknown amounts occurred to the three vehicles involved.

Because of the different information, the police are now looking for witnesses to the traffic accident.
