Quotes for the New York City E-Prix, Race 11

Amiel Lindesay, Head of Operations Formula E:
“That was a good day for Porsche. For the first time we had two cars in Super Pole, that was a strong team performance. The race was not easy for the team because both cars were up front. But we showed that we were doing it Pascal’s first attack mode might not have come at the best moment, but in the end it’s all about the team performance and the points. We are on our way forward in the championship. Pascal is ninth with just 21 points behind the leaders . Everything is still open. “

André Lotterer, Porsche works driver (# 36): “We can be very satisfied with this team performance. Nevertheless, the feeling remains a bit bitter, because we had the potential to take the podium today. Our cars were well set up and very fast, but we had to let a competitor pass in attack mode. which we couldn’t overtake. It’s a shame, a podium would of course have been nicer. Now we have to try to do better in London. “

Pascal Wehrlein, Porsche works driver (# 99): “We scored important points for the team. But we always want the maximum, and more would certainly have been possible today. The potential for it was there. But now we are happy about the strong team result. We will analyze what we do can do even better and then come back even stronger in London. The direction is definitely the right one. “

Porsche in Formula E.

With the Porsche 99X Electric, the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E team will contest its second season in Formula E in 2021. André Lotterer made a successful racing debut in November 2019 when he finished second in the season opener in Diriyah. A tailor-made debut and proof that Porsche had a competitive vehicle at the start with the Porsche 99X Electric. This was impressively underlined by the first pole position in Mexico City and another second place in the home race in Berlin. Formula E is the world’s first fully electric racing series and, as an accelerator for innovative and sustainable mobility technologies, has been bringing exciting motorsport to people in the metropolises since 2014. This season, in which a driver and team world champion is being crowned for the first time, more automobile manufacturers are at the start than in any other racing series. The races are correspondingly interesting and highly competitive.
