Hand cash opened – brazen perpetrators stole cash from farm shops

Farm shops, i.e. self-service sales huts in which farmers offer their products directly, have enjoyed great popularity since the beginning of the corona pandemic. But even criminals have apparently recognized that there is something to be found there. “In the unlocked farm shops, the change is often freely accessible because the operators trust their customers,” said a policeman to the “Krone”.

But on the night from Monday to Tuesday three such agricultural self-service sales huts in Steindorf and Feldkirchen were visited by burglars who did not want fresh milk, eggs or bread. “The strangers stole the change and sometimes also broke open the cash registers,” said the policeman. According to investigators, the perpetrators are likely to have stolen a few hundred euros. The exact amount of damage has not yet been determined.
