Harry and Meghan have made themselves comfortable in their new home in Santa Barbara, complete with houseplants and a fireplace.
Prince Harry (35) and Duchess Meghan (39) moved into their new home in Santa Barbara, California in July. Now the couple granted insights for the first time. For a video conversation with young executives of the Queen's Commonwealth Trust, the former senior royals took their places in a light-flooded corner of their newly acquired villa. To see behind them: the view of the greenery, a large houseplant and a fireplace, on the ledge of which a candlestick was apparently placed.
They want to make the web a better place
In talking to the executives, Harry found plenty of words of praise for their actions. With their work, they would help to turn the Internet and digital media into a force for good. In his eyes you would have the chance and the knowledge to put an end to the negativity that is widespread on the internet. At 35 years of age he already felt "much too old", joked Harry, whereupon his wife Meghan contradicted him.
"Stop it, we're not old," she said. In her opinion, it is "that simple": "You can either train people to be cruel or you can train people to be friendly." And that's what the two of them want to work on. "It is up to all of us to make the world a better place together," Harry said to his interlocutors. After all, this is the world "that you will inherit". "And Archie," added Meghan. Their son was born in May 2019.
