Numerous fellow actors mourn the late British actress Helen McCrory on social media.

The acting world says goodbye to Helen McCrory (1968-2021). The British actress died of complications from cancer at the age of 52. Her husband Damian Lewis (50, “Homeland”) announced this on Friday (April 16) in a statement on Twitter known. After a “heroic” fight against cancer, she fell asleep peacefully at home. Numerous colleagues and companions of McCrory paid tribute to the actress on social media and expressed their condolences to her family.

Harry Potter author JK Rowling (55) wrote on Twitterthat she was “devastated” to hear about the death of Helen McCrory. She was an “extraordinary actress and wonderful woman”, “who left us far too early”. She expressed her condolences to her family, especially her two children and her husband Damian Lewis. In the “Harry Potter” series, McCrory played Narcissa Malfoy, the mother of Draco Malfoy.

Her “Harry Potter” co-stars Chris Rankin (37) and Bonnie Wright (30), who played the siblings Percy and Ginny Weasley in the film series, also spoke in the highest tones of McCrory and were shocked by their deaths. Rankin wrote on Twitter: “Terrible news about Helen McCrory. She was an exceptional talent.” In addition, she was a “very lovable person”. For Bonnie Wright, who said goodbye in an Instagram story, it was “a pleasure and a privilege” to work with McCrory.

That’s very, very sad.” “Rocketman” star Taron Egerton (31) also wrote on Instagram an obituary. In it, he recognized McCrory as a warm, cheeky, and funny colleague who helped him become a better actor.
