Helene Fischer and Shirin David are guests on Thomas Gotschalk’s last “Wetten,dass…?” program on November 25th. During her “Breathless Through the Night” performance, one moment brings to mind a pop scandal.
It’s their first appearance together – and over 12 million people will see it live on television! Helene Fischer, 39, and Shirin David, 28, love spectacular performances. They prove this again and again at their concerts: fans have already been able to prepare for elaborately rehearsed choreographies, breathtaking stage looks and an engaging stage presence. They weren’t disappointed, but they were perhaps reminded of one of the most scandalous moments on TV.

Wow! When pop star Helene Fischer appears on the “Wetten,dass..?” stage, jaws drop. The red glitter bodysuit, which flows into over-the-knee boots and features a peplum, arm warmers and shoulder pads, suits the singer perfectly. When Shirin David comes on and the lights fall on them, the idea behind their stage looks becomes clear: coordinated, but not identical. Shirin’s also sparkling bodysuit in blue impresses with a mesh insert in the middle of the body and an asymmetrical design.
Even though there are critical comments about the two’s performance, which mainly revolve around the topic of “playback”, the artists are celebrated on the Internet for staging their performance. One moment even leads to them being compared to Britney Spears and Madonna.
Barbara’s gentle touch on the pop star’s thigh does not go unnoticed.

During the performance, Shirin, whose real name is Barbara Davidavicius, gently touches her colleague’s thigh. The body-hugging performance also seems to awaken memories for some viewers – of a real shocking moment in pop history. We’re talking about the legendary moment at the “MTV Video Music Awards 2003” when Britney Spears and Madonna kissed on stage. The fact that two women kiss is of course not a shock – but in front of the camera and 20 years ago it became a scandal story. Apparently some people expected such a finale after this performance, postings on “X” (formerly Twitter) suggest: “German Britney and Madonna.”
Sparkle on the couch: pure glamor in the second looks
Even though all eyes were on the stage looks, the glamor outfits that Helene and Shirin wore after their performance also deserved praise. The pop singer chooses a long-sleeved glitter top with a turtleneck in a crop style, which she combines with black trousers with an eye-catching brooch in the middle. Simple pumps with straps complete her appearance. Shirin covers her curves in a floor-length satin dress in dark red with a halter neckline. She puts her long blonde hair up, but leaves two thin strands open.
