Helicopter deployment – overturning with a tractor: Styrians seriously injured

On Wednesday afternoon in Krakauschatten (Murau district) a 28-year-old from the Murau district slipped while doing agricultural work with his tractor and trailer and rolled over. The man suffered serious injuries.

At around 3:15 p.m. the man was busy spreading manure. He drove down a meadow with a tractor and trailer, slipped, rolled over and lay on his side. The handlebars got trapped in the driver’s cab but was able to call his father to inform him of the accident. This freed the seriously injured from the tractor and provided first aid.

After being supplied by the Murau Red Cross, the 28-year-old was brought to the LKH Hochsteiermark, Bruck / Mur location, using the C 17 rescue helicopter. The recovery of the tractor and the trailer was carried out by the fire brigades in Kraków and Ranten.
