Hell is Us: a new semi-open action and adventure game by the creative director of Deus Ex unveiled on video

RogueFactor is a Canadian studio based in Montreal, known for having developed Mordheim: City of the Damned and Necromunda: Underhive Wars. In 2019, he recruited Jonathan Jacques-Belletête (Deus Ex, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy) and here is the project he has been working on for several years.

RogueFactor reveals Hell is Us, a semi-open-world third-person action-adventure game. Players will follow a hero living in a self-sufficient country plagued by civil war, as mysterious creatures linked to ancient stelae and monuments in the region have just appeared. This Calamity is at the heart of the plot, which will ask players to take up arms to face these monsters. The title will askexplore the different environments to better understand the universeas Jonathan Jacques-Belletête, the game’s creative director, explains:

Our goal with Hell is Us is to bring adventure and exploration back to life. No need for a detailed quest log or precise indication on the map of the areas to explore: we want players to feel the breath of adventure, guided by their reflection and their instincts.

Mechanics that will delight fans of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild or recent Elden Ring. hell is us will of course be edited by Nakonowner of RogueFactoryits CEO Alain Falc adds:

We are very happy to finally be able to reveal this production. As a publisher, we want to offer ever more original gaming experiences that will appeal to as many people as possible. hell is us is developed using theUnreal Engine 5but you will have to be patient before discovering the game: it is expected in 2023 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
