According to a study conducted by the writing platform EduBirdie, the first name has a link with intelligence. So much so that certain surnames are more likely to be associated with a high IQ.
Would our first name have an impact on our intelligence quotient? Everything seems to believe it so. A study, published in January 2023 and conducted by EduBirdie, a professional writing and academic assistance platform reveals that certain first names are in any case more likely to be given to future little geniuses. To arrive at this observation, the platform analyzed more than 900 first names attributed to members of Mensa, the international association of high-potential people with IQs in the highest 2%.
Also, the association analyzed the first names of winners of Nobel prize and recognized scientists. The first names were then grouped together with their diminutives and alternative spellings. This means that the first name Will was included in the first name William for the total count and Tom was included in the count for Thomas. Enough to lead to a list of 20 first names directly associated with a certain intelligence.

Genius first names: John and Marie at the top of the ranking
For the boys, surprise, it is the first name John (Jean in French) which comes at the top of the most common first names for geniuses. In second position we find Robert then William on the third step of the podium. Then come Guillaume, James, Thomas, Richard, George, Charles and even Paul.
