The former TV chef Horst Lichter has been running “Bares for Rares” since 2013. He says that about saying goodbye to the popular junk show.

Horst Lichter celebrates his 60th birthday on January 15th. He became known as a television chef, but he hasn’t done that for a long time. Since 2013 he has hosted the popular junk show “Bares for Rares” (ZDF). in the Interview with the “Bild am Sonntag” at least he has already given an indication of how long he would like to do this: “If I don’t feel like it anymore, I stop. But I already know one thing. I won’t be jumping around on TV at the age of 70”, so lights.

His future plans

In the interview, he also revealed his plans for the future. “I have my dream of a farm where I want to clean the gutters,” says Horst Lichter. Why does he want to do it himself? Because he is obviously used to it and likes it. “My wife Nada and I have never had a cleaning lady or anyone who has worked for us. And it stays that way. Not because we don’t allow anyone else to earn money with us, but because I notice that I am live, “he explains.

How down-to-earth the TV star actually is is also shown in the film “No Time for Arschlöcher” (9.1., 8:15 pm, ZDF), which was created based on his autobiography and in which he is embodied by Oliver Stokowski (59) . Why didn’t he slip into the role himself? “The whole film would no longer be believable. Acting is a learned profession. I can do nonsense, but not act,” said Lichter.
