The arrest of Nicholas Rossi is being hailed as a prime example of great police work: the 34-year-old was wanted by Interpol in connection with a sexual assault in the United States in 2008. When in December a man named Arthur Knight was in Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow was admitted with Covid-19, the doctors initially thought nothing. Apparently Rossi did not disappear from the list of wanted criminals at the FBI. As the BBC writes, the investigators are said to have had serious doubts about the story of Rossi’s death.
