The Spanish Netflix series “House of Money” is a global success. The Spanish beer brand now wants to benefit from this.

Fans of “House of Money” can drink the right beer for the series for the second part of the fifth season. The Spanish beer brand Estrella Galicia is launching a special edition with a “House of Money” label to broadcast the final episodes of the Iberian hit series from December 3, 2021. The Galician brewery Hijos de Rivera plans to launch more than 85 million bottles with the iconic burglar mask on the market.

The “House of Money” beer will be available in 60 countries. The series of sophisticated bank robberies has become a hit in many more countries since it began broadcasting globally on Netflix. In more than 60 countries, the fifth season “La Casa de Papel” (the original Spanish title) is the most-watched series in the Netflix portfolio.

The beer bottles not only show the masks inspired by painter Salvador Dali, but also the Netflix logo and the title of the series in the respective national language. However, this is not a special beer, only the label is different.

Resistance as a beer advertisement

Estrella Galicia has been associated with the “House of Money” for a long time. In the series, the beer is shown in the form of product placement, such as noticed by attentive users on Reddit is. The brewery has long been referring to the series motto “La Resistencia” (“The Resistance”), which is supposed to reflect the Robin Hood attitude of the series.

In 2019, Estrella Galicia launched an advertising campaign for the “resistance to the standardization of beer”, whatever that means.

The last episodes of the fifth and final season of “House of Money” will be available on Netflix from December 5, 2021.
