Huawei has introduced the 4th generation of its GT smartwatch. The Watch GT4 is available in either 46 or 41 millimeters. The successors to the Huawei Watch GT 3 have many similarities, but there are also some differences apart from size. We have summarized these for you below.
Display and design
Both models have an AMOLED display that offers a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels. However, the screen of the larger model is 1.43 inches, while the 41mm watch is slightly smaller at 1.32 inches. Both models have a stainless steel housing, which ensures a decent level of robustness. The larger watch has a striking octagonal case that gives the smartwatch a special look. For the 41mm version, a rather elegant design with a round case was chosen.
Features
A lot has also changed in terms of functionality. Both watches are equipped with a variety of health features supported by various sensors. Particularly important is the TrueSeen 5.5 technology, which allows particularly precise measurements with the help of deep learning methods. This benefits functions such as TruSleep, a program for monitoring your own sleep cycles, the cycle tracker 3.0, stress monitoring, SpO2 tracker and many others. There are no major differences in functions between the watches.

Only the more precise GNSS tracking, which promises a stable connection when using the GPS system, is only available in the 46 millimeter version.

The larger Watch GT4 has a decisive advantage when it comes to the battery. Since there is more space, a larger battery was installed, which has a capacity of 524 mAh. This should enable a battery life of up to 14 days, according to the manufacturer. Charging should then take around 100 minutes. The smaller watch is equipped with a 323 mAh battery that only keeps the watch running for up to 7 days. However, charging here also takes around 100 minutes.
Prices and availability
The Huawei Watch GT 4 will be available from September 14, 2023 in the Huawei Online Store or in Huawei stores. The Huawei Watch GT4 46 mm Black is available at an RRP of 249 euros. The manufacturer recommends a price of 269 euros for the leather brown and rainforest green versions. The all-stainless steel version, including a stainless steel bracelet, is recommended at a price of 349 euros.
The Huawei Watch GT 4 is available in the 41 mm size with a white leather strap and retails for 249 euros. The Milanese bracelet, however, costs 299 euros. The piano-look model is the most expensive version of the GT4 series at a price of 399 euros.
