We all know ice cubes made from water. But there is another way. Everyone should have these 7 things in stock in summer so that you can enjoy them ice-cold.

Milk and cookies

The combination of milk and biscuits is always a good idea, but also in ice cube form? Definitely! Simply shrink the biscuits and put them in an ice cube tray with milk. Tastes great in coffee or as a simple dessert. Incidentally, the greater the fat content, the faster the milk freezes.

coffee

Would you like to enjoy your coffee chilled in summer? Then you should pour cooled coffee into ice cube trays and get it out of the freezer after a few hours. Off to the coffee with it. Now you have all the time in the world to enjoy your favorite drink without normal ice cubes diluting it.

Wine

Yes, wine can also be frozen! What is that supposed to be good for? So you get practical portions for the next cooking session, after all, wine is a perfect ingredient for sauces. Particularly practical: this way you don’t have to open an extra bottle of vino.

Herbs

Have you bought way too much basil, parsley or dill again? Then you can easily freeze the leftovers. Put the fresh and finely chopped herbs in the ice cube trays along with olive oil. The ratio is one third olive oil and two thirds herbs.

protein

Often you need more egg yolks than egg white for a cake, for example if the egg is used separately for baking. But where do you put the rest? Freeze the egg white and cover the whole thing with a lid or cling film. If necessary, you can simply take the proteins out of the freezer.

Lemon juice

Lemon juice has many advantages: It helps with weight loss, headaches and colds. If you have bought too many lemons and want to keep the juice longer – for example as a refreshing addition to a salad or a glass of water – you can put the juice in ice cube containers. And voilà: the tangy addition to the summer drink is ready.

Pesto

Once the pesto glass is open, it has to be used up. In order to preserve the delicious addition to pasta dishes or the delicious spread of the evening meal, it is advisable to freeze pesto. This is especially true for homemade pestos, which you can use for much longer.
