Figure of the popularization of science in France, Igor Bogdanoff died on January 3, 2022 at the age of 72. His daughters, Sasha and Anna-Claria, spoke in the columns of Le Figaro.
Just six days after his twin brother Grichka, Igor Bogdanoff passed away on Monday January 3 consequences of Covid-19. “In peace and love, surrounded by his children and his family, Igor Bogdanoff went to the light on Monday January 3, 2022“, wrote his relatives in a message sent to AFP. Host, essayist and popular science popularizer, Igor Bogdanoff was also a father. He leaves behind Dimitri, born in 1976 from his union with the actress Geneviève Grad, Sacha (born in 1989), Anna-Claria (born in 1991) and Wenceslas (born in 1994), children of his ex-wife Ludmillat d ‘ Outremont and Alexandre et Constantin, born in 2011 and 2014 from his relationship with his second wife, Amélie de Bourbon-Parme.
After having announced, at first, not to wish “communicate beyond the text sent to AFP“, the daughters of the host, Sasha and Anna-Claria, spoke on Tuesday, January 4 in the columns of the Figaro. Soberly, they each evoked the memories they keep of their father, in love with the Gers countryside where he was born in 1949. “My father used to go to Fontainebleau to climb his rocks without his brother, with us, in a place that brought him closer to his peasant roots.“, first Sacha confides.”In the falling heat of twilight, far from the bustle of Paris, surrounded by the nostalgia of his childhood spent in this Gers countryside, this is where he really was“, continues Anna-Claria.

According to their family’s wishes, Igor and Grichka Bogdanoff will be buried together on the same date, Monday January 10, 2022. The ceremony will take place at 3 p.m. at the Madeleine Church in Paris, BFMTV announced on Wednesday, January 5.
