I'm a star – Get me out of here !: This could be expected of the candidates in Wales

For the first time since 2004, the jungle camp will not take place in the jungle. What can candidates look forward to in Wales?

In the meantime it has been resolved, the question of the location of the next season of "I am a star – get me out of here!". For the 15th edition of the trash show, the candidates, along with the moderator duo Daniel Hartwich (42) and Sonja Zietlow (52), will not go to the Australian rainforest, but to rainy Wales. Thus, the station RTL follows the British counterpart of the show, which also had to move due to the corona pandemic.

On "I'm A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!" it was clear since the beginning of August this year that this time it would be shot in the United Kingdom, as the producing broadcaster ITV announced at the time. The exact location was then communicated at the end of August. These are the ruins of the 200 year old Gwrych Castle near the coastal town of Abergele.

Enjoy a "very special edition"

According to legend, this is a real haunted castle – and in view of the upcoming disgusting challenges it will soon also be a spit castle. According to "The Sun", Winifred Hesketh, Countess von Dundonald, has been haunting the property in a white dress since her death in 1924. Others claim to have heard of a fatally injured maid who haunted the area. A third ghost vision is about other former domestic workers who cannot find peace.

What the German participants have to be prepared for has already been indicated. In cold, wet Wales, thermal underwear is likely to become the best friend of frozen candidates who, in the best case scenario, have chowed on a little winter fat before the show. Because even in Wales – depending on your performance in the exams – not much will end up on the plates except rice and beans. Apart from unwanted disgusting damage.

RTL is already looking forward to "tons of thrills and surprises" in Wales, as managing director Jörg Graf announced: "The RTL and ITV teams are already working behind the scenes with a lot of fun and energy on a very special edition of 'Ich 'm a star – get me out of here!'. When I look at who's going to take part and imagine the jungle trials in Wales, I would love to start the show right away. " In January 2021, the 15th season of "I'm a Star – Get Me Out of Here!" to be seen, candidates have not yet been officially announced.
