Johannes Dines is expected to serve as director of Caritas until 2025. Kurt Sonneck will then be in charge of Caritas’ affairs.
Sonneck still heads the communications department in the Archdiocese of Salzburg. But from 2025 he will follow Johannes Dines into Caritas, who will retire in two years. Together with Dines’ current deputy, Andrea Schmidt, Sonneck takes over the leadership. Sonneck should be introduced to the office before Dine retires. Dines has been director of the Caritas association since 2012. Sonneck has worked in the archdiocese since 2004 and has headed the Office of Communications since 2017.
