We know the crucial importance of the Galaxy A range for Samsung. All more or less orchestrated leaks are therefore scrutinized with great attention.

Everything suggests that the South Korean giant’s calendar should be upset compared to previous years. Indeed, the firm would have decided to advance the release of some of its flagship smartphones for the month of January.

While he has already leaked images of the next Galaxy A54, the famous leaker OnLeaks has this time looked at its more affordable alternative, the Galaxy A34. If this information must of course be taken with a grain of salt, the revelations seem perfectly plausible.

These first renderings show a smartphone sporting a design almost identical to the Galaxy A 54. Nothing very surprising since the brand has already opted for a strategy of unifying the entire range a while ago. Our recent duel between the Galaxy A33 and A53 also shows how similar the two devices are.

This year, the photo island has disappeared to make way for separate sensors, which protrude quite widely from the back of the smartphone. A design that is reminiscent of that of the latest Galaxy S22 Ultra, which means that Samsung is operating a kind of shift from premium to mid-range. With its rounded edges, however, it is not as monolithic as its larger cousin. Samsung reportedly got rid of the depth sensor last year, which explains the presence of only three sensors on the back.

According to OnLeak’s source, this Galaxy A34 would measure 161.3 x 77.7 x 8.2 mm and would opt for a 6.5-inch panel (0.1 inch more than on the A33). However, it does not specify the technology used on the latter, even if we can legitimately expect AMOLED. We note the presence of an Infinity-U notch which seems very outdated for 2023. This is also the only observable difference with the Galaxy A54.

For the rest, we should be entitled to a fingerprint reader located on the power button, but also to a 3.5 mm jack port to connect headphones or wired headphones.

It remains to be seen whether these design changes will also be felt on the technical sheet.
