It’s the most anticipated film of the summer in streaming: discover the trailer for Red, White & Royal Blue, adapted from the bestseller

Written by author Casey McQuiston, the novel “Red, White & Royal Blue” tells the romance between the son of the President of the United States and… a British prince. Having become a phenomenon, the book becomes a film. Check out the trailer.

It was during the 2016 American elections – which led to the victory of Donald Trump – that the author Casey McQuiston had the idea of a romance between the son of a head of state – necessarily fictional – of United States and a member of the Royal family.

Three years later, Red, White & Royal Blue was born, a novel that quickly resonated with a young readership.

The book becomes a small phenomenon and even slips into the prestigious New York Times bestseller list. Of course, a film adaptation was inevitable.

Written and directed by Matthew Lopez – screenwriter of the future remake of The Bodyguard -, the feature film arrives on Prime Video to punctuate the summer, and the trailer, revealed on July 6, is already making a lot of noise.

In the two main roles, we find Taylor Zakhar Perez (The Kissing Booth, the Scandal series) and Nicholas Galitzine, who appeared, among others, in the sequel to the horror film The Craft. Finally, in the role of the president of the United States, we will find Uma Thurman.

In the same way that the Heartstopper and Young Royals series have created a real community of fans, there is no doubt that this Red, White & Royal Blue will find its audience.

Red, White & Royal Blue, available on Prime Video on August 11.
