Jamie Lee Curtis has to take a break in the “Awards Season”. The actress is suffering from Corona and is missing some events.

Actress Jamie Lee Curtis (64) has been infected with the corona virus. She announced on Friday (January 13) at Instagram known. “Damn Covid! Unfortunately this chief cheerleader will not be able to attend the weekend’s celebrations to cheer on her friends and colleagues,” she wrote alongside a picture of several positive corona tests.

Golden Globes reaction created excitement

She is glad “that there are all these home tests, I didn’t go to the American Film Institute lunch and didn’t infect anyone,” she continues in her post. She was so looking forward to going to the BAFTA Tea Party and Critics’ Choice Awards as a nominee and member of a “motley crew.” “I’m so proud of these people and look forward to cheering them on through my TV.”

The actress recently caused a stir at the Golden Globes when she heartily threw up her arms for her “Everything Everywhere All at Once” colleague Michelle Yeoh (60), who won the award for best actress that evening (Musical/Comedy) won. Twitter users shared videos and images of Jamie Lee Curtis’ reaction, expressing their enthusiasm. The actress posted a photo of it himself and wrote: “Once a cheerleader. Always a cheerleader. My darling won a Golden Globe. Her first nomination and her first win.”
