Swaver – he is keen on this qualification – and political analyst, Jérôme Sainte-Marie was the first to conceptualize the structuring of political space in the clash between two blocs, one elite, embodied by Emmanuel Macron, and the other popular, worn by Marine Le Pen. His theory, launched in a press article in 2017, then developed in a book, “Bloc against bloc”, published in 2019 (Éditions du Cerf), distinguished by the prize of the Deputies, inspired the strategy of the National Rally.
