Four years ago, on October 28, 2017, Alexia Fouillot, wife of Daval, was reported missing. Two days later, his body was found, partially charred. After numerous media appearances in the company of his in-laws, Jonathann Daval had confessed to the murder of his companion. Sentenced one year ago to twenty-five years in prison, he is now imprisoned. For their part, the parents of the victim, Isabelle and Jean-Pierre Fouillot, continue to seek explanations to explain the gesture of their son-in-law. Guests from The time of the crime on RTL on October 28, they made new revelations about their daughter’s killer.
The Fouillots did not find out until much later, after reading the file, but only five days after the death of their daughter, Jonathann Daval “Offered a getaway to Dijon”. On the eve of the white march organized in memory of Alexia Fouillot, her murderer would have borrowed Jean-Pierre Fouillot’s Porsche for this trip. He would also have made a trip to the Jura for a marathon. Alexia’s parents also discovered pictures of Jonathann at the movies. Shortly after his wife’s death, the man appeared to be living a normal life. Faced with these revelations, the parents of the victim confessed to being “Fallen from the clouds”.
Four years later, the same questions
“How could we be naive at this level? This question, we ask ourselves every day”, admitted Jean-Pierre Fouillot. While after the death of their daughter, they welcome their grieving son-in-law and worry about him, they discover the unthinkable when the latter confesses to the murder three months later. Four years later, the parents of the victim continue to wonder about Jonathann Daval’s behavior and how he managed to manipulate them. In October, Isabelle and Jean-Pierre Fouillot released the book Alexia, notre fille, in which they deliver their version of the affair and pay tribute to their late daughter.
For his part, Me Randall Schwerdorffer, Jonathann Daval’s lawyer, has also released a book in which he discusses the personality of his client but also the relationship between the two spouses.
