Jonathan Bailey, the star of the hit Netflix series “The Bridgertons,” is in talks to take on dinosaurs in the new film in the “Jurassic World” franchise.
The star of The Bridgerton Chronicles and Fellow Travelers soon in Jurassic World 4? The American site Deadline announces that British actor Jonathan Bailey – who plays the older brother of the Bridgerton siblings in the hit Netflix series – is in negotiations to play one of the main roles in the new film Jurassic World from Universal Studios.

If Jonathan Bailey, soon to be cast in Wicked 1 and 2 produced by Universal, accepts the studio’s proposal, the actor could share the poster for Jurassic World 4 with Scarlett Johansson, also in negotiations.
According to DeadlineDev Patel, showing this Wednesday April 17 in his first production, the action film Monkey Man, is also in talks for a major role in the new film in the 6 billion dollar saga.

Directed by Gareth Edwards (Rogue One, Godzilla), the feature film is written by David Koepp, already at work on Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park. We still do not know if DeWanda Wise, who played Kayla, the helicopter pilot in Jurassic World: The Lost World, will be present in the casting of this film, as suggested in May 2022 by director Colin Trevorrow, who relaunched the saga in 2015.
The latter then announced to Variety : “It was very important to introduce a new character who could potentially define the future of this franchise.”
But with the possible arrival of Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey and Dev Patel, the saga could develop a completely independent story and definitively conclude the narrative arc of the previous characters.
This new Jurassic World will be produced by Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley – already working on the Jurassic World saga – while Steven Spielberg will be executive producer.
The filming of Jurassic World 4 should take place this summer for a theatrical release scheduled for July 2, 2025.
