Jurassic World Evolution 2: Nearly 1 Million Sales, But Falling Revenue for Frontier Developments

Frontier Developments released last november Jurassic World Evolution 2, a new amusement park management game with dinosaurs. A title that unfortunately did not appeal to players as much as the studio hoped, which announced shortly after the launch to have sold 500,000 copies of the game, revising the revenue targets downward.

Today, Frontier Developments shares its latest financial report, spanning the six months preceding November 30, 2021. A balance sheet in the red, studio reports loss of 1.7 million pounds, compared to revenues of 5.8 million pounds last year over the same period. The fault, obviously, Jurassic World Evolution 2. Frontier Developments explain that sales of the game on consoles are in line with its expectations, but those on PC are much lower than estimated.

Still, the developer is keeping his head up high, he claims that nearly a million copies of Jurassic World Evolution 2 have been sold, and it retains its latest target, lowered last November and forecasting revenues between 100 and 130 million pounds before the end of the fiscal year, next March. As a reminder, the studio is counting on sales in the medium and long term, in particular thanks to the sales periods on Steam. You can find Jurassic World Evolution 2 at € 59.99 at Gamesplanet.
