Landes: drama of Ossages, a hunter indicted for manslaughter

The Dax public prosecutor’s office decided, this Friday, December 31, to open a judicial investigation and to seize an examining magistrate following the hunting accident which occurred during a beaten with wild boars, in Ossages, Wednesday, December 29.

Placed in custody in the premises of the Peyrehorade brigade, the sixty-year-old suspected of having fatally injured the victim, a father of 45, was left free. Denying being at the origin of the shooting or hypothesizing a ricochet of it during his hearings, this Landais was indicted for manslaughter.

By the time the investigation is completed, he will have to comply with a judicial review with various obligations. In addition to an obligation to undertake therapy, following this tragedy between hunters, this retiree will have to hand over to the gendarmes all the weapons he may have in his possession. It is also forbidden to wear one.
