Landlady run over – Young carouser in court for attempted murder

It was almost clear that the two teenagers (16 and 17 years old) would end up in the dock, now the prosecution is ready. In August, the two hit a Linz sushi landlady while trying to escape. The public prosecutor’s office accuses the duo of attempted murder.

In August of this year, the two people from Graz (16 and 17) were eating at a sushi restaurant on Linzer Landstrasse. They ran away without paying, got into the boy’s mother’s car and wanted to escape. The deceived sushi landlady (42) rushed after the duo, was run over by the escapees and left seriously injured. Up to ten years in prison. The escape of the two young people only ended days later in Croatia. Since their transfer to Austria, the two have been held separately in custody at the Graz prison. Now the prosecution’s indictment is ready. The indictment for attempted murder has been served, but is not yet legally binding; the 14-day objection period is running. A trial date in Graz has not yet been set. If convicted, the two young people face a prison sentence of up to ten years.
