The list of ingredients for 6 people:

  • 2 heads of garlic
  • olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 baguette
  • 80g butter
  • 2 tablespoons of fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • a little grated Emmental or mozzarella

The steps of the recipe:

  1. Start by preheating your oven to 200°C.
  2. Remove the tops from your garlic heads and place them in a sheet of aluminum foil. Cover them with a generous drizzle of olive oil and don’t forget to season with a little salt and pepper. Close the aluminum foil and bake for 40 minutes at 200°C.
  3. Meanwhile, take a baguette and slice it in half. Soften the butter in the microwave or by leaving it at room temperature.
  4. Once the garlic has finished cooking and your cloves are well preserved, squeeze the end of the garlic head to release the cloves. Mix them in a bowl with the softened butter, chopped parsley, a little olive oil, paprika, salt and pepper. Mash everything with a fork until you obtain nice parsley.
  5. Spread the parsley on your baguette pieces. Then cover them with grated cheese of your choice.
  6. Bake your garlic baguettes for 10 minutes at 200°C.
