Laurastar sanitizes our interiors with its Izzi steam purifier

2

The Swiss manufacturer Laurastar wants to sanitize our interiors with the new Izzi. Thanks to its steam propelled up to 104 km/h and which can reach 150°C, this steam purifier would be able to disinfect all surfaces and textiles in the home.

Two trends continue to assert themselves: the desire to live in an ever cleaner environment, while using natural products. Laurastar has understood this and is releasing a steam purifier, the Izzi, in response. The Swiss promises to sanitize our homes naturally, without detergent. If steam cleans surfaces and textiles well, the device must still have essential characteristics.

From then on, Laurastar equipped its Izzi with Dry Microfine Steam (DMS), a steam supposed to eliminate 100% of dust mites, 99.99% of bacteria, viruses and fungi and, finally, certain pests such as bedbugs, moths clothes or lice. At the exit of the nozzle, the steam is propelled up to 104 km/h at a temperature of up to 150°C. It is also delivered at constant pressure, up to 3.5 bars. Independent laboratories have also certified the disinfectant effectiveness of the purifier.

Two nozzles are supplied with the device to sanitize either textiles (sofa, pillow, rug, curtains, etc.) or surfaces (worktops, changing table, strollers, etc.). We regret that other accessories have been set aside by the Swiss manufacturer. In another category, the Black+Decker SteaMitt (LINK) offers an armada of tips for cleaning windows, brushing surfaces or joints, for example.

Laurastar, however, plays on the functionality of refreshing the textiles of its device, unlike conventional steam cleaners. We assume then that the Izzi is also able to steam all types of clothes, even the most delicate, like steamers.

Finally, the Izzi has a 1.1 liter tank and an anti-limestone system. It is then possible to fill it with tap water without fear of clogging the machine. The 1.95 m steam cable can however be short and disabling during the purification session.

The Izzi is already available at a price of €399.
