The candidate of Resist! in the legislative elections in the Pyrénées-Orientales, Anthony Chiffre, declared on Twitter and in the pages of a local newspaper that he wanted to condemn families who practice naturism with their children. The man pleads the reason for the corruption of minors and called for the withdrawal of parental authority.
This is a proposal that has not gone unnoticed. Candidate under the label of the party of Jean Lassalle, Résistons!, in the 1st district of the Pyrénées-Orientales, Anthony Numérique took to Twitter to denounce something that offends him: naturism in the family. At the beginning of June, he published the following tweet: “I wish to condemn families practicing naturism with their children to a ten-year prison sentence and the withdrawal of parental authority for corruption of minors and acts favoring the taking of photos and child pornography video, for the protection of minors.”
A statement that made the French Federation of Naturism jump. “We cannot let this pass. We will not allow naturism to be soiled like this”, confided Viviane Tiar, president of the Federation. “This is a first such a position. We immediately sent a letter to Mr. Lassalle.”
“We must protect children”, pleads Anthony Cipher
After the controversy, Anthony Cipher gave an interview to the regional daily The Independent, where he qualifies his remarks. “I may have expressed myself badly in my tweet, and I apologize to the French Federation of Naturism,” he told the newspaper. “I didn’t want to hurt anyone. But, it seems essential to me that we prohibit minors from being exposed to naturism, and sometimes with insistence. Not by withdrawing parental authority, but children must be protected. Photos circulating in child pornography networks are sometimes taken on naturist beaches. I do not condemn naturists, but children must be protected.”

Targeted by death threats, without however being able to demonstrate the link with his tweet, Anthony Cipher has announced that he wants to file a complaint. “I received (…) in my mailbox death threats and 9 millimeter casings. I am filing a complaint against X and sending a letter to the public prosecutor”, he lamented.
