Lifesaving – police officers pulled man from Wehrgraben in Steyr

Steyr police officers were able to rescue a man floating in the water on Monday morning. This had fallen into the Steyr river in the area of ​​the weir ditch.

The man had apparently fallen into the Steyr Wehrgraben while feeding the fish. He had lost his balance and was no longer able to climb onto land. A passer-by raised the alarm. A passer-by recognized the life-threatening situation and called an emergency alarm. Four police officers immediately rushed to the Steyrer river and managed to get the casualty out of the water. The man, suffering from hypothermia and shock, was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
