Likes to come across – the new strongest Ferrari still has no name

With the 812 Superfast, Ferrari introduced its most powerful production model to date in 2017. Now a very special offshoot follows with even more power and special aerodynamics. The name remains a secret for the time being.

In May, Ferrari presented a limited special version of the 812 Superfast introduced in 2017, which visually differs significantly from the production version. The special features include a martial-looking radiator grille and a carbon fiber sheet across the hood. The modified rear apron is characterized by larger air openings and a large carbon diffuser. The glass rear window has been replaced by a one-piece aluminum structure whose “vortex generators” are intended to improve the vehicle’s aerodynamic efficiency. The design solution, which is fully integrated into the roof, is also intended to create a “backbone effect” that underlines the three-dimensional shape of the vehicle.

Instead of two twin tailpipes, the exhaust gases of the V12 in the Superfast special model flow through two rectangular pipes. As with the normal 812, a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated engine provides propulsion, in which the output has been increased from 800 hp to 830 hp and the engine speed limit from 8500 to 9500 rpm. In addition, a new version of the Side Slip Control control system is celebrating its premiere, which should allow even inexperienced drivers to perform controlled drifts. The interior largely corresponds to the production version, but has been given a more sporty design.

Ferrari has not yet revealed any information on the price or a possible number of units. On the (in Austria) around 380,000 euros of the 812 Superfast, they will probably add one or two euros in Maranello. What is the name? Will be announced in early May.
