Lycée Toulouse-Lautrec season 2: an actor from XO Kitty joins the series, Rayane Bensetti absent from the sequel

TF1 has just announced the start of filming for season 2 of “Lycée Toulouse Lautrec”, one of its hits of the year. With new actors on the program, but also the absence of Rayane Bensetti and Abraham Wapler, who are not returning.

Good news for fans of teen series: Lycée Toulouse-Lautrec, led by Chine Thybaud (Endless Night), Ness Merad, Stéphane de Groodt and Valérie Karsenti, is back shooting for an already highly anticipated season 2.

Launched at the beginning of the year on TF1, the first season of Lycée Toulouse-Lautrec, created by Fanny Riedberger (Les Randonneuses) from her own story and her experience as a high school student in the real Lycée Erea Toulouse Lautrec de Vaucresson, had met with a great success, bringing together an average of 4.2 million viewers on D+7 (including replay) over all of its six episodes.

When this second season begins, the filming of which has just started between Paris and Vaucresson in the Hauts-de-Seine, Victoire, Marie-Antoinette, Reda (Adil Dehbi), Roxana (Aminthe Audiard) and the others are still very affected by the Charlie’s death.

While the establishment run by Mr. Feuillate came close to closing just before the holidays, it is therefore a somewhat special resumption of classes that awaits the students and the teaching staff of the Toulouse-Lautrec high school. But the course of life must resume…

Two recurring actors absent from season 2 of Lycée Toulouse-Lautrec

If China Thybaud, Stéphane de Groodt, Valérie Karsenti, Ness Merad, Adil Dehbi, Aminthe Audiard, Nolann Duriez, Margaux Lenot, Max Baissette de Malglaive, Hippolyte Zaremba, Aure Atika, Joséphine Draï and Bérangère McNeese (HPI) return for this second season , two main actors from season 1 will be absent from these six new episodes.

Rayane Bensetti will indeed not resume his role as Khaled, the educator who notably accompanied the students to Morocco in season 1 for a memorable green class. TF1 having explained to us that the desire for this season 2, above all centered on the group of teenagers, was to focus in parallel on other adult characters.

Abraham Wapler and Théo Augier, alias Jules in season 1 and in season 2.

But the actor seen in Clem and in Tamara at the cinema is not the only one missing since Abraham Wapler, who played Jules, the son of Feuillate, is replaced by Théo Augier in this second season. A young actor who recently distinguished himself in the role of Frenchy Florian in the Netflix XO series, Kitty, and who also participated in L’île prisonnière, Les Grands, L’école de la vie, and even in the feature film L nuclear summer.

On the new faces side again, TF1 viewers will also find Joséphine de Meaux, who continues her collaboration with the creator and producer Fanny Riedberger after Les Randonneuses, Eric Caravaca, Constance Dollé and the young Esther Rollande, who thus join the troupe of Lycée Toulouse- Lautrec.

Directed by Cathy Verney (Hard) and Shirley Monsarrat (Skam France), these new episodes are written by Caroline Franc, Florian Spitzer, Fanny Riedberger, Elodie Namer, Renaud Guillemet, Yannick Hervieu, Cécile Leclere, Yvan Longuet, Sophie Saje, and Sophie Zuber.

No broadcast date has yet been communicated by TF1, but this season 2 should arrive on the air in the coming months, certainly at the beginning of next year.
